Formerly an NHS practitioner, Claire now runs her own private practice, offering a warm, safe and collaborative environment in which clients can explore what is keeping them stuck. Claire believes a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective work, adapting her theoretical understanding to each individual and drawing on her counselling background to inform a compassionate, person-centred approach.

Claire integrates several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, humanistic counselling and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) as a CBT psychotherapist, with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) as a humanistic counsellor, and with EMDR Association UK as an EMDR practitioner. Her qualifications include a Degree in Psychology (Leicester University, 1991), a Foundation Degree in Transactional Analysis (Middlesex University, 2013), and Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma qualifications in CBT (Oxford University, 2011 and 2014).

She works with a wide range of difficulties, including trauma and PTSD, anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias, depression, OCD, bereavement, addiction, abuse and domestic violence, eating disorders, dissociation, personality disorders, ADHD and autism spectrum difficulties, low self-esteem and self-confidence, relationship issues, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, pregnancy and birth, infertility and miscarriage, chronic fatigue and pain management, and work-related stress.
