Miriam Burton

Miriam Burton (BA Hons Psych; MA Clin Psych; PgDip CBT) is an HCPC-registered Psychologist and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 15 years' clinical experience across the NHS and private settings, practising in Skipton, North Yorkshire, and online. She specialises in treating stress and burnout, anxiety, and depression and low self-esteem, primarily using CBT, and has also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (with Russ Harris) and Compassion Focused Therapy (with Mary Welford), which she often adds as effective strategies for recovery. Her special area of interest is perinatal psychology and helping parents at all stages build confidence in their parenting.
